Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I need a permit?
Depending on the location, size and nature of a project, permits or exemptions are most likely required from one or more governmental agencies from the local level to the Army Corps of Engineers. This process can take anywhere from 1-6 months, but most small projects can be permitted in less time. C&M Dredging will assist you with your permitting process.
What kind of equipment do you use?
C&M Dredging primarily utilizes small, portable suction dredges. This allows us to deploy the equipment almost anywhere without causing harm to property, while keeping mobilization costs down. This equipment is also ideal for removing material from ponds with liners, without damaging the liner.
Where does the material go once pumped off the bottom?
The material can be stored on-site for future use, or hauled off to an approved disposal site, depending on location and budgetary requirements.
What steps does C&M Dredging take to eliminate, or minimize the environmental impact of a dredging project?
We have tailored our dredging equipment, methods and the nature of our company in general with environmental responsibility as our number one priority, without sacrificing value. We always strive to improve our dredging methods and techniques by utilizing the latest technology available. There is always room for improvement!
